      Entretien

      I was phoned by the recruitment agency 'Advantage Resourcing' and they set me up with a skype/facetime interview with them before they passed my CV on. I passed that stage and had another facetime interview with the manager and passed this stage too. I was booked in for a final interview with Dyson/Curry's at the Watford brand and asked competency type questions and was asked to do a product demonstration, the interview lasted roughly 45 minutes. I got a phone call from advantage the next day asking how I thought the interview went and that they would get back to me as soon as they heard back from the person that was conducting the interview. I waited for a week and still hadn't heard back from Advantage Resourcing so I decided to send an email to which she didn't get back to me, I also phoned the agency but couldn't get through to them. I thought it was very unprofessional for them to not give feedback when requested.

      The interview process was very easy and comfortable. Asked about past experiences and training expectation. It was in a small office room and lasted about 15 minutes. Just be honest.

      First was a phonecall from a third party hiring company who asked me very basic questions about my experience in sales and my eligibility for the role. Next was a Hirevue video interview; The questions were relatively normal, those that you find on the internet when you search 'common interview questions'. One or two questions were specific to Dyson technology but not difficult, and one was a small essay about sales which whichever was fun. Final stage was a store interview, in which I had to answer some verbal questions, perform a demonstration of a product and fill out a SWOT analysis form judging the store layout. The questions were again fairly basic, judging my ability to work alone (fitting to the expert role) and customer experience. My interviewer performed a demonstration for me prior to my own, which judged my ability to sell rather than product knowledge which was comforting. The SWOT was easy if you have used the system before, it was just finding strenths, weaknesses and improvements within the store.
