J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Forrester (New Delhi) en oct. 2017
Entretien
I applied for the role of Research Associate for India office of Forrester Research late September through LinkedIn. I immediately prompted the concerned HR who was kind enough to forward my resume to business after a breif discussion about my profile and background. After an endeavouring muted wait for a month, I received an interview email from the HR scheduling the first of many interviews to come. They were arranged as follows:
1. HR Screening (24/10/2017)- was a smooth sail. I was asked to share the takeaways from my learnings from my past internships, what I understood about the role I was applying for and the company I was applying in. The HR was extremely understanding and at the same time very clearly delineated the ask of the role. The session was extremely informative and helpful as I was able to gauge of what is to come next in a prceise manner.
I was told on the call itself that the next interview will be scheduled soon with the VP, Reserach Director, for which I was positively excited.
2. Phone interview with VP, Research Director (14/11/2017)- An engaging phone call wherein I was again asked the same questions as the HR screening along with some other details about my background and where I see myself in the future. Once again, I was informed on the call itself that I will be contacted for another interview which eased the process very much for myself.
3. Phone interview with Sr. Analyst (17/11/2017)- Another comprehensive interview iwth a deeper dive into my background, my projetcs and in particular my thesis that was around the subject matter of which the analyst was hismelf an expert.
4. Presentation and interview at the office (8/12/2017)- It was a rather trying wait for the last interview which was held at the office. On the day, I was greeted by the HR who outlined how the day was going to look like, gave very useful pointers about how to navigate my way through the day which helped me a great deal! Later on, I met with the Research Director for a quick discussion about the interviews and what was to come. This was led by a two hour writing task for which the topic was given on the spot followed by presentation of the same and an exhaustive question-answer session led by all the members of the research team along with the HR recruiter.
It took a week more for them to get back to me in regards to the results. All in all, the process was thorough to say the least. Even though the process was lengthy, I knew that any good organisation would take its time in looking at all the candidates to see who is best suited for the role. I would also lie to mention that as it was a long process and I was obviously applying for other positions, the HR gave me enough space to be vocal about my position andk guided me accordingly.
