I submitted a resume and was contacted roughly a week later. After the first phone screen, I had three calls with members of the group I would be working with. Most of the questions were about the research area and suitability for the role. Being able to demonstrate breadth as well as depth was important. The final process was the group interview. The group interview consists of writing a short research note, then a group of analysts ask you about it. The questions can get pretty difficult.

The recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. I scheduled a 30-minute meeting with them. The recruitment gave me an extension description of the job position. I was told that I had excellent research experience, but lacked business acumen. The recruiter was very transparent and communicated to me that for the position I was applying for, this was a red flag. They were looking for someone with experience working with C-level executives.
