Got called by the hiring manager to explain the nature of the work and to make sure I understand the nature of this non managerial, wet-lab work ( I have 3yr postdoc experience). HR called another day and asked about current salary, rent (so they could work on housing compensation), and possible relocation ( turned out they covered everything for my move--a big and long move) 1 full day Interview on site: I did a 1hour presentation of my projects during postdoc. HM and others asked relevant, extensive and detailed questions--they wanted to know both the techniques and the rationale of the projects. They were also true scientists that thought deeply and really got excited about any new findings. I talked to ~15 people from SSR to director. Everyone was quite friendly, honest and did their best to wear in my shoes. questions and discussions covered science and life in SF.
