Very disappointed and shocking with how I was valued throughout the interview process.
Things started off somewhat rocky, but I stayed flexible and professional. The process looks organized at a high level, but it is far from it. After each step, I would be given one or two days to choose from with literally one time slot to pick from for the next interview. This happened multiple times. The interview portal shows how many steps there are, and what step you're currently in. I was told, and the portal showed, that I’d reached the final round. Before the last step took place, I even asked and was told this plus I was told that the decision after this round should come pretty quick. After the Stakeholder, final interview was completed, I had a recruiter wrap-up session. I was also told to expect a decision by the end of the following week. Then, without warning, I was told there was now a “possible, but unlikely” chance that leadership might want to hire a manager before making a final decision. It was stated that they hope to have a decision by mid week, or end of the week the latest. This is itself is absurd, as I completed all the steps. To be flexible, I remained professional, as the recruiter has been very nice and helpful and I really wanted this role. A full work week after my final interview, there was still no clear answer or timeline. I am being told that the hiring manager doesn't even know what he wants to do. He doesn't know if he should wait to hire a middle manager first, and have the final candidates who finished the process interview with that said person. But not even just that, he isn't even willing to give a timeline for when he will make a decision for making another decision, which really inconsiderate and disrespectful. This is all so weird and strange. It’s unacceptable for a process to reach the final stage and then end in total uncertainty. I invested time, energy, and even took time off work to prepare and interview, only to be left completely in the dark. This experience reflected a poor level of respect for candidates’ time and effort. I have now withdrew myself as I would never want this guy to be my manager. I should have saved my time and listened to all the other negative reviews on the internet.
Again, let me end this review with saying this not a representation of my recruiter, as she was nothing but nice and helpful throughout this process.
