First, online assessment, two coding questions. Then a phone screening, ask a lot of NGS questions. Then OOP, design pattern, Linux. After that, HR phone call. Then a virtual onsite, ask to analyze .vcf variant call file.

A few phones interviews, followed by long, all day, in-person interviews. The phone interviews were great. Mostly about getting to know you as a person, your background and work experience. The in person was a bit rough, a lot of people from many different departments. Many were purely software engineers and didn't understand the basics of some biochemistry, so it made it a bit difficult explaining previous life science related work. Some of the older interviewers (not all) really acted like they didn't want to be there or talking with you at the time.
