Interview Process: The process started when a recruiter reached out on LinkedIn. The initial recruiter screen was quick and easy, followed by an HR screen that was also straightforward. The hiring manager interview was mostly behavioral and quite simple. The technical interview was easier than average and not too deep. Coordination & Communication: Overall, the process seemed well-coordinated at first, but communication fell apart towards the end. After the final round, there was no update for weeks — essentially ghosting — until HR eventually called to say I wasn’t selected. Role Clarity & Impression: The hiring manager couldn’t clearly explain what the role actually involved. It seemed like the position was for one specific client (a large healthcare company), but later they mentioned it wasn’t for them after all. The experience gave the impression that Insight operates more like a consulting placement firm trying to fill client contracts rather than hiring for an internal, well-defined role. Compensation: The salary offered was much lower than industry standards for the level of experience required. Overall Take: While the interview steps themselves were easy and professionally conducted, the lack of role clarity, low pay, and the ghosting make it a poor candidate experience overall. I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time on this process unless you’re comfortable with contract-style consulting work.
