Had to do 2 assessments, 1 personality and 1 aptitude, each 45min. Interviewed with the recruiting mgr after completing both.
Interviewer was late, though they did apologize. Very basic qns were asked (see below), interviewer was very casual, sometimes seemed quite distracted during the interview (looking away from the camera).
What made this an unpleasant convo was toward the end, this interviewer made disparaging remarks about the layoff climate, specifically the companies that are doing layoffs, in an effort to drive home the point that intersystems is doing well and has nv had to do layoffs.
I get that you have pride in your company, but there is absolutely no need to put others down, and especially not to a candidate who was JUST laid off himself. Some empathy (even if not sincere) would be the professional thing to do. To top it off, no follow up after the call. Considering that your candidates make the effort to complete those assessments, I think the decent thing to do is at least an official rejection email?

Went through internal recruiter. Was brought on-site for personality test and to meet other members of the team. Was told I'd be a great fit in person and then never heard from them again after following up twice. I'm sorry but as a recruiter in this industry I only have poor things to say about this experience. There is nothing worse than not getting back to a candidate and thinking that is okay will give you a poor reputation in the industry regardless of how great your company and product is.
