It took me six months to get past the online screening process to even get invited for an interview even though my background and experience matched numerous positions. Once inside, I found the professionals I interviewed with knowledgable, passionate about their work, and realistic about the challenges and opportunities within the organization. I felt that the Human Resources professionals who dictated the pace of the process and general interaction were the weak link in the process.
