J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Lush (Reading, Angleterre) en août 2017
Entretien
There are 2 parts to the interview process at lush, a group interview and then a shop floor trial and a one to one interview too.
Group Interview:
- around 13 people attended
- Had to bring something from home that either described something about you or meant something to you and then talk about it in a group circle
- then had to present a lush product in the style of a youtube beauty blogger, they gave you a little cheat sheet of the benefits of the product and then you had to present to the group. You did this in partners or groups of 3 depending on the group size (ours was an odd number)
- lastly had to do a sniff and scout exercise. The whole group were split into 2 teams and within the teams one of you had to be the sniffers. So you had to sniff a range of products and describe it to the scouters, who would then have to find the products as quick as they can based on the description. Whoever found the most products wins.
And that was all the group interview was! we were then given a lush product for free upon leaving which was super kind of the company to do.
Shop Trial:
Was basically being on the shop floor, this was just to see how you would interact with customers and contribute to the store as a whole. You were given feedback of your performance throughout, e.g I was told to ask more open questions, but also given positive feedback too. You were allowed to do demos and anything another staff member could do really. If the store got empty then you'd be paired with a staff member who would pretend to be a customer and you would have to recommend and demo stuff on them. It was honestly so much fun I really enjoyed it!
One on One Interview:
started on reflecting about your performance e.g how did you find it? What you could have done better, then given interview questions.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
What is your favourite lush product and why?
When have you received good customer service and what was good about it?
What makes good teamwork?
General questions like what your availability is and how you would travel to work.

Entretien
There was a three stage interview process, all of which were carried out casually yet professionally. There was a one-on-one interview with a manager, a demo with a product and role play with another interviewee.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Recall a time when you got someone to try something new.
group interview, done in pairs to test how people work together and see if people are generally good fits for the company since it's a lot of talking to customers in a friendly way and finding what they want

Fairly straightforward, spent some time being observed on the shop floor with customer to see how I demonstrated products etc. They only asked 4-5 questions - things like ‘how do you feel your floor trial went?’ And ‘Why do you want to work for us?’
