J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Mars (Hackettstown, NJ) en nov. 2015
Entretien
I was initially screened by the HR Manager and was scheduled to meet with two hiring managers on a panel interview. Interviewers were very down to earth and you could tell their goal was to get to know you and learn about your experience, however I had a sense that they had already selected their candidate. They were very straight forward asking typical questions on my last experience and then gradually moving to situational and behavioral questions.
You have to bring many real life examples, mostly on how you dealt with conflicts, how you solve a problem, a time when you could not solve a problem, a time when you took leadership, a project I worked on and if I met the project timeline etc. They also asked if I could see myself in other roles in the company beside the job I was interviewing.

Was there a time when you had a conflict with a team mate?
Describe a project you worked on and did you by any chance failed to finish on time?
It was a long process, 4 interviews spanning 2 months. Everyone was friendly and the 5 principles were mentioned frequently throughout the process. This is a very principled company and that comes through in the panel questions and culture.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Mars (Caledon, ON) en mars 2024

Initial phone screening and then second interview included two Mars representatives (hiring manager and counterpart).
Interview was extremely cold and unfriendly. Understand that virtual interviews can be tough to gauge emotion and tone but I immediately knew in the first 5 minutes that the hiring manager wasn't the type of person I would enjoy reporting into. Not a culture fit. It then took over 3 weeks for Mars to notify me that I wasn't selected. I think this is an area they need to improve on given the competitive job market right now - it's crucial to update all candidates in a timely manner. It's only considerate and respectful.
