      Entretien

I came across a posting on LinkedIn and applied on their website. I was contacted roughly two weeks later by a Talent Acquisition Coordinator to set up a 30 minute phone interview with a Talent Acquisition Partner. The interview with the Talent Acquisition Partner was mostly biographical including questions that confirmed detailed about my education, work experience, skills, and interest in the role. For myself it felt like more of a formality, lasted about 6 minutes, and I was informed on the call that I would be moved through to the next round. The call took place on a Friday and I was contacted by the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to schedule the next meeting by Tuesday. The second round interview was with the hiring manager and likewise included behavioral questions about my experience and what I could bring to the role, at the end of which I was also given positive feedback and told I would meet with a panel of potential coworkers in the third round, which the Talent Acquisition reached out to set up within 48 hours. The third round was set up with 3 coworkers 2 weeks later (due to Canadian and US statutory holidays in between) that would be my seniors, where I was asked about particular skills I had used in my past/current role(s). All were extremely approachable and generally the interview was enjoyable. I was once again contacted 48 hours later by the Talent Acquisition Coordinator to set up the final round. I met with the VP of Product for a 1 hour interview and it likewise felt like more so just a formality as well to get her sign off, as it was just a "get to know you" style discussion. All in all, an easy and enjoyable process consisting mainly of behavioral questions and no case (which I greatly appreciated after being burnt out with other lengthy cases assigned by other companies, which took up quite a bit of personal time). Communication was continuous up until after the final round, where some internal approvals took 1 week before I was contacted with a verbal offer. I did negotiate and felt that the company was receptive to it, kindly increasing their offer and ensuring I felt valued. A written offer followed the same day.

Walk me through your resume? What products have you worked on and how have you contributed to them? What experience do you have working with different stakeholders? What experience do you have explaining technical features to non-technical people? Do you have any experience working with developers? What would you rate your proficiency in Excel? Do you have experience compiling feature guides and/or conducting technical demos?

I had an initial screening call with the hiring manager then a call with the Product manager. These were my only two calls I had with the team. I thought it was interesting that they didn't ask any technical questions it was more behavioral and past experiences.

Got to final stage of interview process - Was an easy interview but declined the offer. Pay was to low and hours were to high to make it worth it. I enjoyed the people I met and the company has a lot to offer - but did not give exactly what I was looking for.
