I interviewed with the PetsHotel Manager and was asked about my past experiences. I had worked at a couple shelters and had one job as a cashier, so I was pretty confident. It was less of an interview and more of the manager telling me what the job entailed and telling me stories. She then gave me a tour of the Hotel and told me what training would be like. She introduced me to who I'd likely be working with and training with. After the tour, she told me if I wanted the job, she'd talk to the store manager and then he would interview me. I came in the next day for an interview with the store manager. He asked me more of the typical interview questions. He had started out in the PetsHotel and was a PetsHotel manager at one point. We talked about our pets, he asked me about my shelter work. I was hired on the spot, but was warned that if I accepted the offer, I had 48hrs iirc to get the drug test done. In the office, he set up my PetSmart "profile" right away. He said the background check and drug test would take a week or so. They told me to get it done at a specific urgent care where I waited for like six hours. I take antidepressants, sleep meds, and benzos (legally) and didn't have to "declare" them or whatever and was still hired. I'm not sure if those meds were reported to PetSmart or not.
