      Entretien

Took about two weeks after applying to set an appointment. Went in on a Friday, had to do a drug test, then took about 2/3 weeks after to start work/training on Monday. They only scheduled me to come in after I had called them to check on the drug test status though- though if they don't call within a couple weeks, definitely remind them you're still interested! Day of the interview I met with one of the store managers, then waited about 30 mins after to interview with salon manager. Both were really pleasant (though obviously bored/stressed out).Pretty easy interview, though I think there was a disconnect between them somehow.... I have ZERO experience working retail, ZERO experience with animals (other than having my own), and was interested in a fulltime job. I even made that clear with the store manager, who kept commenting on how great it was that I was available all the time, and even commented on how they were looking for someone fulltime because they only had one bather currently. I guess it was my own fault for not straight -up verifying my hours before hand, because I showed up for paid training Monday only to find out they were giving me part-time with no benefits... I told them I had expected full-time but that I needed a job so I would accept it anyways. They have a couple days of paid training when you start- not sure if my experience was the same as everyone else, but they basically put me in a private room on a computer from 9-4, watching the powerpoint/videos. The next day I came in (9-4:30) and it was the same, only I took tests too. I didn't see a single person (manager, employee/etc) the ENTIRE training process. The salon manager told me what to do first thing in the morning, and I wouldn't see her until I was finished for the day. I didn't mind it- just thought there'ed be more hands-on/making sure I understand everything? Oh well. Once finished, I got to start the job. First thing they had me do was answer the phone... without telling me how to work the phones. Had to schedule an appt. Didn't tell me how. Said I had a dog to wash... wouldn't have shown me how unless I had asked them.Everyone seemed surprised I had 0 experience, and the manager wasn't even there/hadn't told them what I had to do, so I basically spent the entire WEEK answering phones/scheduling (which I finally got someone to teach me). I washed ONE dog. and cut TWO dogs nails that entire week, when I was supposed to be there as a bather (our stores super busy, so I really should have been given more to do). Anyways, at the end of the week my Grandma had fallen at home and so I went to the manager telling her I wanted to talk about my hours (how I had thought I'd be full-time but they didnt give me that, and I either need full-time or to only work evenings from now on instead of all-day 4 times a week so I can find another full time job) and I told her that if that didnt work, then I may need to quit.... Well I guess she took it as "I'm quitting", because she told me "I can't handle this right now, we'll talk Monday" and then left for the day. Come Monday, I called multiple times (it's a bit too far to go in person and I wasn't scheduled to work anyways) and each time I got "She'll call you back"... I called multiple times all week and never got anyone. So three weeks later and no calls, but I also haven't gotten paid??? I get that they're busy and stressed- and I hate this because they all seemed so nice and I actually really liked scheduling and being around the dogs- but they're TOTALLY unprofessional there... I get I was there for only a week, but seriously? Kind of childish to just ignore me like that (especially when I wasn't even quitting?)... AND I WANT MY PAY

I recently attended a job interview and had a generally positive experience. The interview process was well organized, and the interviewer was professional and polite. The questions were clear and relevant to the position. The atmosphere felt respectful, although slightly formal. Overall, it was a valuable experience that allowed me to better understand the role and expectations.

Not great claimed I showed up late even though we spoke the night before and I put it immediately in my phone. I’m on time to everything. Interview was not enagaging, and they didn’t seem interested in interviewing.

Interview process was simple and straightforward. I was informed I would be working with large dogs that required me to donalotmof bending and picking up. I was offered the position during the interview.
