      Entretien pour Data Analytics Statistician/Specialist

      7 juil. 2017
      Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
      Dublin, Dublin
      Offre refusée
      Expérience négative
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. J'ai passé un entretien chez Pfizer (Dublin, Dublin) en janv. 2017

      Entretien

I was approached by a recruiter for this job. I got one initial phone interview with the recruiter agency with normal CV run through. Then I was scheduled for an onsite interview with a panel of one person from HR and two managers; only one name from the panel was given in advance. Interview was delayed and I was told that I am not interviewing with the person I was told initially. Besides the usual competency STAR based questions asked by HR the rest of questions was mainly around my technical capabilities and experience. Toward the end of the interview, one of interviewer was especially defensive mentioning that I was too experienced and he needed someone who can carry the daily "leg work". The job description I received was pretty vague but it defiantly didn’t mention this was an entry role. He was also worried about my long term goals; even I was interviewing for a one year contract; saying that "[he] don't want to teach someone for a year to do this job and then they leave", specifically mentioning the name of the previous employee; saying "like the same as [person’s name] did". Later I was told that they are interviewing to fill two positions in a team of five that lost three members recently. HR interrupted the interview at this point and making this comment was completely unprofessional. I was interviewing for an employment through the recruiter although they mentioned there is a possibility of extending the contract through pfizer. Within in a week, I got a job offer but after receiving my contract I noticed that there is no pension package involved in contrary to what I was told. Upon asking for more base salary to cover the pension personally I was offered less than enough increase and I dropped the offer. I was contacted by another recruiter within days of dropping the offer for same role with base salary figure of up to 40% more.
