1. First step was phone screening with HR. Asked basic questions such as why this company etc. 2. Second phone interview was with a data science team member. Asked general concepts such as regression, but did not go into much detail. Asked about a previous relevant project. 3. Third step was a take-home assessment that was to be completed in 4 hours. However, the materials were not sent to me on time, but they were flexible and gave an extension due to the delay. Basically a small data science project to make predictions and provide insights. Deliverables included code submission, prediction submission and report. 4. Final virtual onsite contained multiple 1v1 interviews with senior members. No technical questions were asked. Then had to give a presentation on a previous project to several junior and senior members. Tips: don't get too technical, they will not care. I also did not receive a schedule for the 4 or 5 hours, so I did not know what or who to expect and when I had a break. Except for the presentation, conversations were relatively casual.

Initial phone interview with recruiter (30 mins) Technical interview with staff data scientist (30-45 mins) Take home technical assessment (timed 5 hours) Final round behavioral + panel/presentation (3 hours) The initial interviews were positive enough, the recruiter was very helpful. Technical screen was typical technical questions regarding statistics concepts. The take home technical assessment wasn't too difficult, and I was able to finish and submit within the time allotted. The final round of interviews was grueling, I was grilled on my academic projects and during the final round presentation, where they went very in-depth into the motivation and reasoning behind my decision making and technical choices of the topic I was presenting. There was no feedback given at the end of the ~10 hour interview process (not including the amount of time needed to prepare for each round). I had no problems with the behavioral portions of the interview, so I believe the final decision ultimately came down to technical abilities and experience related to the work and projects the team is currently doing.
