First round is mainly talking to someone from Rohlik, hearing about the firm and you answer how would you imagine your future job? What do you value in a job? If you are willing to learn? Second round:you were given a task, which you do at home and you are discussing you work on this task in the second round.

A recruiter contacted me. I did an initial screening call. Nothing too fancy about it: polite and correct reviewing my previous experience. Explained the nature of the job: refactoring a legacy app, mostly alone. Then I was appointed to a second interview with developers. No intro, they jumped right away into a list of IMHO irrelevant questions considering the role: what was my favourite stack, whether I knew a specific library or component, what did I think about a specific technology. I have 20+ years of experience, including my own tech company and a FAANG, a big part of it as an architect of new and legacy apps, but I was discarded because of “inconsistencies between my experience and the libraries they use”. I don’t think they know what they need.

Question 1
What’s your favourite stack? What do you think about Tailwind? Do you know a Material UI component to render big datasets? What’s a micro service?

The interviewer was nice, however the recruiter told me that they are hiring mediors, but at the end of the interview I was told that it is a mistake and they are looking for only seniors.
