The process had 5 stages and it flowed very quickly. The job role was well explained and expectations were well managed. In the end, even not reaching a proposal, a proper and constructive feedback was delivered.

Autres retours d’entretien d’embauche pour un poste comme Software Engineering Manager chez Salsify
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Salsify
Entretien
Had the expected series of virtual interviews.
* Recruiter phone call
* Hiring manager initial interview
Interview "day":
* short setup with the recruiter
* Hiring manager (2nd time, to dive deeper into experience)
* The relevant product manager paired with the existing manager who is moving to a different position * A pair of the team's senior engineers.
All interviews were purely experience / behavioral / past projects. No coding exercises or hypothetical system design challenges.
All interviews were consistently relaxed, positive and in a friendly conversational style.
They took their time communicating the final decision, but I believe that was an exception related to my specific experience and not the norm. I personally know candidates for other roles who got their decision in days.
Eventually the decision to decline my application was communicated over a call and with detailed reasoning related to my experience that (while I disagree with) I could understand.
Overall, other than the delay in communicating the decision, it was a positive experience that focused on what is truly needed to succeed on that role.
