They scheduled a zoom call for the initial interview. When the interviewer came on for the call she had her video turned off and told me I could do the same. I left my video on thinking it might show confidence and would give her a better glimpse into who I am but ended up being penalized for it. Sometimes I will reference my notes when being asked questions during an interview. I don't do it because I'm faking who I am or don't know the answers. I do it cause I get nervous sometimes and my mind goes blank. The interviewer said something condescending in reference to it at the end of the interview. This was a position I was well qualified for but was emailed two days later saying I would not be moving forward with next steps. I probably would have gotten selected to move forward had I turned my video off. No good deed goes unpunished. Ha!

3 stages - recruiter interview where you have to 'tell your life story' which is a bit cringey, teammate interview and hiring manager interview which included a client roleplay presentation. Everyone was very friendly and we had good conversations on our calls but by email the recruiter was a bit pushy and rushed me to schedule the interviews quickly so I felt less prepared than I would have liked.

First there was a brief phone interview with HR to double check the experience listed in my CV, then there was a practical assignment, which took about 1 hour and finally, there was a character interview by video with one of the managers.
