So I applied to a canadian FP&A senior manager role. Had an interview with the hiring manager. Went well and answered all questions. Then got an HR email saying we want you to have an "exploratory chat" with a higher up in FP&A. Went to the second chat and what a dumpster fire. Higher up tells me first thing FP&A team does is code in the morning, they change all the time and have positive disfunction. Its like a cult and for me being a high IQ person they think everyone wants to work. This process is like the leader episode in the simpsons. They think they are unique when really any company makes a profit. Do yourself a favour dont get swoon over shopify. Its just another company that lays you off.
