For my first interview they sent me a case study and asked to prepare a presentation. During the meeting they informed me, that the case study was very similar to their real business situation. I spent numerous hours preparing my presentation. But to my surprise, the managers in the panel said they expected something different.
The feedback that I got from the company was that I was well prepared and followed the case study instructions, and I had an impressive resume, but anyway they felt that my overall skills were not good enough for that level of role.
