J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez SpaceX (Redmond, WA) en mars 2026
Entretien
3-4 phone calls with the recruiter, manager, and engineers, followed by a super-day on-site where you give a presentation on your personal project, then a grill session. Phone call interviews are chill, but you must know the technical details of various manufacturing processes.

Question 1
If a part is found to be out of specification on the assembly line, what would you do?

I only had an initial screening interview for this position before deciding to pursue a different role at SpaceX, since candidates can only interview for one position at a time. The screening lasted about 30 minutes and consisted mostly of behavioral questions, along with a few technical questions.

The interview process, for me, consisted of four parts:
1.) Initial phone screen with the hiring manager. The interview was a mixture of technical questions and motivation.
2.) Technical phone screen; deep-dived into a technical project. This was solely technical and I was not asked any behavioral questions.
3.) On-site panel interview followed by 1:1s with people on the panel. The panel presentation was 50 minutes and focused on a technical topic that I presented on, then I had 1:1s with the people on the panel. Questions were largely technical and based on the topic I presented on, or adjacent topics that came up during conversation.
4.) "Executive Phone Screen" with a Director. Asked a lot of seemingly random questions that seemed aimed at probing my personal motivation. No real technical questions asked.
