Applied online and the recruiter reached out under 24 hours to schedule a call. I did a ton of prep work for the conversation, which to my surprise only lasted about 10 minutes. The recruiter seemed incredibly disengaged the entire time, only asking me what I was looking for and my experience in a start up vs agency recruiting. The recruiter was very unprofessional and sent a very aggressive email when I asked for some feedback. I was extremely excited for the opportunity to interview - this is a company i've dreamed of working for the last 5 years - but moving forward I have a VERY bad taste in my mouth about Spotify, the people and the culture being built in Boston. This is not a team I would be interested in working with...

Interview process was smooth and straightforward. Everyone was a pleasure to speak with. They asked clear questions and were super transparent when asked questions. Each interviewer really showcased core Values and why they decided to choose Spotify.

Applied for a contract position. They spoke about the length of the contract and current team. Overall very helpful during the process and they were able to answer every question accurately

Entretien
I was very excited to receive a phone interview request from Spotify and unfortunately that's where the excitement ended. Our phone interview was rescheduled multiple times when I finally received a call it was the wrong time. During our convo the interviewer ironically prefaced how important the candidate experience is. I was told about next steps but never made it to the next round because all I heard afterwards was radio silence. After multiple unanswered followups I figured where I stood but if Spotify can utilize machine learning to predict what songs I’d like, an update and or even an automated rejection should be standard part of their recruiting process. As a superfan of Spotify and a recruiting professional this experience with was so disappointing.
