J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 1 semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Starbucks (Seattle, WA) en avr. 2015
Entretien
I applied online and about a week later, I got an email about a phone interview. I was asked questions about my current position and how I work with my team, customers, and handle sales, ordering, promotions and paperwork as well as scheduling concerning the position.
I guess the person interviewing me didn't like that I was from a licensed Starbucks store because he cut me off mid interview and started going on about the company and the individual stores and how they are different to where I currently work. He talked for about 10 minutes while I listened and then he said that even thought I have 2 years of Starbucks management experience, I might be good at starting as a barista and working my way up in a corporate store. And then he said he would send me a link to other job opportunities (in which he did) and that was it. I didn't like that I was being overlooked because I didn't have management experience from a corporate store.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
How do you schedule your partners, based on what? How do you know what to order? What do you look for in a future partner during an interview? Provide an example in which you had to coach a partner about something they are doing wrong?

Phone interview with a recruiter who expects STAR style answers. The questions are pretty standard and easy to find online, so prep isn’t hard. Honestly, the toughest part, if you’re already an internal employee, is getting the interview in the first place. You really have to show your managers that you’re serious about moving into the role.

Question 1
Give me an example of a time you solicited feedback and encouraged the sharing of ideas by your time or group of colleagues. (What actions did you take with that information and what was the result?)
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your input and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our interview process.

For an external hire, pretty normal for an interview. For an internal hire, they basically want you to answer as if you were a robot. They want you to answer by telling a story in the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result)

You will be asked scenario questions. Answer based on your experience not what you would have otherwise done. Be specific and paint the picture as if you are telling a story.
