I applied on the careers site and was quickly contacted by the recruiter. I was excited about the opportunity and it sounded like a great org/company to join. I interviewed with 6 folks across the recruiter, hiring manager, team, and hr. Every step of the process, there were long periods with no updates, which I understand vetting candidates, scheduling, etc. can take time. What was odd, was every round I would interview, no update...2-3 weeks, email back as a check-in, and then all the sudden they would have an update. The process repeated several times. By the final interview, my interest in the role/company had diminished and I already had a sense of the outcome but I went with it just to see the process to the finish. I got the sense that a candidate had already been identified for the role and I was more just an additional candidate to complete the vetting process. My whole experience lasted around 3 months. Not grueling but more unnecessarily drawn out with delays in communication. All the conversations and interactions I had with people at the company were positive. Most of the interviews were more conversational with an occasional behavioral question tossed in but nothing overly complex.

The interview process was fairly straightforward. I had a conversation with HR and then a panel interview with the hiring manager and other people I'd be working with. I didn't think it was difficult at all. Found myself to be well prepared. There were technical issues on their end as they don't interview in person and their screens were freezing. They said they'd have a timeline for the decision after Labor Day but expedited it as they were always planning to hire internally via a promoted position. It was a waste of everyone's time.
