It was the worst hiring experience ever in my whole life. I got a job offer and went through salary negotiation and a visa status check. Then, a hiring manager said to me that he would send me an official offer letter and a contract within one week after he got final approval from the internal related parties. I waited for the whole 3 weeks, and finally, he sent me a very short email saying that their VP had decided to freeze the hiring for the division. He didn't seem apologetic at all for taking the whole 3 weeks just to say that to me. While I was waiting for the official letter and contract, I had to send him a follow-up email twice because I hadn't heard from him at all for 1 week. The way he didn't keep me updated and he withdrew the job offer too casually, was very dishonest.
