J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Twitch (San Francisco, CA) en avr. 2016
Entretien
I had a phone screen with the hiring manager and then an onsite interview with the team. Most of the team members were very nice and intelligent people who cared a lot about their work. I also really enjoyed seeing the bustling and vibrant office environment.
There were a couple things about the process that I wished could have been handled differently:
(1) The posted job description was very generic and didn't match the actual responsibilities of the role. The role seemed more like an office management role crossed with some paralegal experience. Building physical data centers and negotiating contracts sound like a perfect fit for a paralegal with good office management skills. It didn't feel like a program manager would be a good fit for this role.
(2) In the past as the hiring manager of any new roles I would always send my interviewers a list of skill sets I'm looking for in the role; this way everyone is calibrated on what to look for. I didn't get the sense that the interviewers knew what skill sets they were looking for. What I heard was that there were a lot of unknown challenges in emerging markets that needed to be managed. It could be that because this is a brand new role that the team doesn't know yet how to define its responsibilities and skill sets needed. Personally it was a bit hard for me to interview without having more specific information about the business challenges.
I wish this team the best though and hope they'll find the right candidate for this role.
Appreciate the feedback, and will discuss with the hiring manager. Obviously PM roles have different scopes depending on what function they support. But I will make sure your feedback is heard. - Arthur Yamamoto / Director of Recruiting
