Entretien
After applying online, I heard back around 2 weeks later for an in-person interview. The company is majority francophone which I was not prepared for well enough (being a McGill student) and threw off all my answers.
The team lead and technical lead interviewed me (no HR person was present). The interview experience was unique in that it was all catered around my resume and past experience. No generic questions were asked, all were asked after learning about my previous work. A mixture of behavioral and simple technical questions was asked. Had I proceeded to the next step, there was to be a mentored coding challenge to be done at the office with the help of a current employee.
Interviewers tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible and even clarified questions in English when I had trouble understanding.
