directly interviewing with the operational manager, started by me presenting myself : academeci achievement, and professional experiences and then I got asked different questions : Why do you want to work with us? Who are the other competitors? What are you most proud of?

Had 2 face to face interviews from hiring manager and senior manager. Got response a week later from a no-reply email address to say I had applied too late in the process and the position had been filled?? Why interview me then?
