This is Lakshmi's story on joining the corporate workforce after a career break of more than 6 years. I joined Infosys as an Associate Consultant with the SAP Team in October last year. Before taking a career break, I had worked for 6.4 years as an SAP BW consultant. After 6 years of career gap, brushing up on my skills, and reviewing my experience, Infosys gave me a chance with RestartWithInfosys. The phase of returning to the workforce can be challenging but the support I received from the HR and the onboarding team has been tremendous since Day 1. Going forward, I would like to develop relevant skills and work on multiple projects. My long-term plan is to work my way up to a leadership role in the company. In my opinion RestartWithInfosys helps individuals get back on their feet after a career break. This program has provided many of us with a bundle of opportunities based on our interests and skill sets to learn about new and emerging technologies.
