Avantages

It's not just an empty slogan, but really in the veins of everything we do. As a senior systems engineer you can eat your heart out in this fast paced, rapidly growing environment. If you have a good idea of which players can benefit, we do it. As simple as that. This is my dream job after being in the IT industry over 15 years. Professional: in many companies there is a "glass ceiling" for guru-type engineers. You need to become a manager to keep your career growing and let go of what you're really good at. Not so with Riot Games. Riot needs awesome tech gurus. Riot has a very mature approach and work ethic. It's not how many hours you spend in the office, it is what you deliver, and how. And play League of Legends! Everyone is encouraged to play, to train yourself to become better and engage with the player community. Regardless of your role. And this is really unique!

Inconvénients

You need to be a very eager ambitious (but humble at the same time) junior, or well seasoned tech vet to find your way around in Riot Games. You're not being guided continuously, instead learn to feed your curiosity. Ask! We all humble, we want to help you. Oh, and LA is very expensive to live... Finding an affordable home can be a challenge.

Avantages

Great benefits, pays well, can work on some very interesting problems.

Inconvénients

Work hours are from 10-7 and hardly anyone actually works that, so stuff can move at a snail pace. Getting help from central teams can be painful, especially if they're way off hours. Some of the culture can get a bit overwhelming too and you can end up feeling pretty lonely if you don't drink the koolaid.
