      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez ADP (Dallas, TX) en oct. 2016

      Entretien

I first was contacted by a recruiter after she found my resume on indeed. I then had three different interviews. One initial phone interview that was very short, another in person interview with three hiring managers, and then a phone call interview with a VP. Everything went well, I had thought I hit a home run with everything. I received an offer and gladly accepted. When I accepted I wanted to disclose everything on my background. Prior misdemeanor and also the fact that I owe the university I attended thousands of dollars and can not get transcripts until it's paid. A few days go by and my recruiter calls to say they pulled my offer being that I don't have my degree finished and that I can not give transcripts. They must have thought I was lying and decided to pull it. This the biggest bummer of my short professional career thus far. My recruiter said that I had listed my degree on the resume as if it was finished, and that I should take it off since it's misleading. It's such a tough subject to discuss to someone or put on your resume that you don't have transcripts. I'd like to take credit for the courses I finished but it is obvious to me know that I get zero credit until I've paid the school and physically have a degree in my hand. Another thing that was very misleading and upset me is the fact that on the job description that I applied for. Its lists a high school diploma as the degree required. I even mentioned this to the recruiter and she tells me "ADP has the right to be picky about whom they choose, and for this position they wanted to have bachelor degrees across the board". I understand that, but why not mention that in the job description, college preferred is what should be listed. Obviously I am very upset. I'm just going to stop now.... Take from this what you will. If you do great on your three interviews, expect to get an offer. You better have your degree finished and transcripts though. Another thing. I replied back to my recruiter after updating my resume later that day. I had removed my college portion and was looking for feedback on if it looked better. She ignored me. She was prompt the entire hiring process too. If you aren't of help to certain people, they just don't care. Last thing...This interview portion helped me "bigly" in getting the offer. I suggest reading these and working on the behavioral questions.
