Met with various leaders and the dedicated HR representative of the business unit. Each leg of the process include very stock interview questions, and the hiring director was so green to his position, he seemed very unsure of how to proceed, did not secure a professional meeting room, and seemed almost apologetic during the interview. Seemed the position was already filled, even though it had recently been posted.
During my interview with the HR representative, I felt that the purpose of that interview was to discredit my qualifications. I had over 10 years experience in the type of work the team performed, which was more that any incumbent leader in the organization, had extensive prior management experience with 3 different companies in the past, and an acknowledged excellent level of leadership experience within ADP at this point, having led a successful team of associates for the past 1.5 years.
The person who was eventually hired had much less relevant experience and had minimal management experience in the past.
