Recruiter calls, asks general questions. Then passes you along to an interview with a VP. The VP that interviewed me made it seem like I would hear from him within a week due to the position not being open currently and wanted to make sure there was room on the team but after multiple attempts of follow up with him and the recruiter I never heard a thing back. I'm not upset I didn't get the position but I am upset with the lack of reasoning/communication with why I didn't receive a response at all.
