I typically avoid writing negative reviews, but I feel it's important to inform other applicants about my experience. I applied online and, apart from receiving a rejection email at first interview with screening HR, I never heard back. With strong expertise in forecasting and a reference to support my application, I believe there may be bias influencing HR, specifically the Oncology team HR, to reject candidates at the initial stage. Initially, I assumed my resume might have issues. However, when I applied for another analytics role—well within my skillset and experience—I once again received a rejection email. After over six years of professional experience in Canada and an additional significant years internationally, it's disheartening to face such outcomes. It makes me wonder what prospects new immigrants might have if someone with my extensive background is being rejected. I think there is prejudice or some bias at HR end.
