I got the vacancy through Naukri.com. Applying took me to the NSN website where I entered my details. After about 3 weeks, I got a call for interview. As I was not in Bangalore, they arranged for a telephonic interview. I took the the telephonic after a week, It lasted around 40 minutes. The interviewer started with my final year projects, gradually moved to my expertise which is Java. Almost every part of core Java was covered. The next day I got a call and was asked for a face 2 face interview. I scheduled it a week later. The interviewer from the telephonic round and another senior person took the face 2 face round. It was around 1 hr and 15 minutes. First I introduced myself. Then started with my the then current project, what I did there. I explained whatever I did and I knew. Then a little bit of database, a bit of data structure, design pattern etc. I was asked to write a sorting program on whiteboard. After the technical, I had a discussion with a line manager and then HR round. The next week I was informed that I got selected. The package wasn't that great, but since I always wanted to work in R&D, I accepted the offer even having some other opportunities with better compensation. Now I'm in the team with the interviewers and the line manager is my reporting line manager.

The interview was engaging and professional. I appreciated learning more about the role, team expectations, and company culture while sharing my experience, technical background, and interest in contributing meaningfully. The interview was a positive and insightful experience.
