I was disappointed in the interview process. I was invited to an interview where I select the date and time. On the day of the interview I received a text message just a few minutes before saying it needed to be reschedule due to the interviewer having a meeting to attend. He asked for my next availability and then never got back to me. Later that evening, I received a confirmation email after hours for an interview the next day. On the 2nd attempt, I got another text saying he was running 5 minutes late, and then still hopped on the call 10 after.
The role was promoted as a remote role, and within the first 3 minutes he disclosed the role required 50% travel. Not only travel for training, which is understandable but also indicated there would be travel including flying to see clients and traveling without a “region.” The interviewer said that due to the role being new he could not speak on the role or where the region would be located. While on the interview it was evident he was reading emails and I quickly became disinterested. He described how chaotic things currently were and apologized for being rushed but he had other meetings scheduled. I personally wrapped up the interview because my time was clearly not valued in the interview stage of this company, I could only imagine what being an employee would be and immediately let him know my disinterest for working there.
