PepsiCo attended my university’s career fair. I submitted my resume with the recruiter at the career fair and then applied directly to the job posting through my university’s career site as well as PepsiCo’s website to be considered for an interview. I received an email within 1 week inviting me to interview for the position. Before the first interview, I attended the PepsiCo informational session to learn more about the company and their culture. There was a good amount of PepsiCo employees at the information session that shared their experiences with the company. I would encourage you to attend the information session if given the opportunity to build relationships and gather information that can help you during your interviews. The first interview was conducted on campus the day after the informational session. The first interview was typical including behavioral questions. Concluding the first interview, I received another email within 1 week inviting me to participate in the second round of their hiring process. The second round of the process took place about 2 weeks from the first interview. The night before the second round of interviews there was a candidate dinner where there were welcome remarks and a few top managers that shared their stories and background. After the dinner the candidates are given the opportunity to participate in a campus hire Q & A discussion with previous campus hires. You can literally ask them anything. At the dinner we were given a folder that included a schedule of events for the following day. Included was a case study for homework that we would cover during the interview process with management. The second round of interview was conducted at the Tolleson Gatorade Facility. The second round of the process included four steps: resume presentation, ops case study, execution/influence interview, and people/idea interview. You are given 20 minutes to present your resume in front of two executives and your competition. There are no “rules” for the resume review, but they give a few topics to consider touching on during your presentation. I will cover the case study in the following section. The two interviews were not terribly difficult. I am currently waiting on a response. My advice is be confident and you will do great.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

The following is the case study: Good Afternoon! It’s 3:30pm on Wednesday, and you are the night loading Product Available Supervisor at PBC’s Denver Production and Distribution Center. You have arrived at work, and are ready to start the handoff discussion with the first shift supervisor. She lets you know she cannot stay long today due to a personal obligation. She quickly lets you know that she has heard that there has been an unforecasted sales promotion ad for Pepsi 12 packs at Albertson’s and she thinks it may cause a product availability issue for tonight’s load out. As you walk by the message board you also see a note that two of your loaders have called in sick for tonight’s shift which will leave you terribly shorthanded. You then check your voicemail and find you have two messages. The first is from the Plant Manager who copied your boss the Product Availability Manager (PAM) on the message. He wants to meet with both of you to discuss WIP improvements, including changes to the layout of the pick area. The second is from the PAM asking to meet this afternoon about the recent downturn in bulk loading productivity. Specifically he would like to see the performance metrics for all individual loaders. Answer the following questions: What would be your course of action to address these situations? What are some key questions you need to ask and consider when resolving these situations?
