The Tesla recruiter reached out to me stating they were interested. They asked to do “quick call” and I agreed. They then missed the call time and we rescheduled. They had me do an assessment that was kind of a sorting game which wants you to ignore common knowledge about animals except for when it doesn’t want you to. Told me I did well on it and they wanted to move me forward to a virtual interview with a manager. In preparation I was supposed to watch several videos that mostly felt like company propaganda one of which was over an hour and practice a typing test I would need to do in the interview. For the record these videos, the job description, and the call with the recruiter didn’t ever accurately paint the picture of what you’d be doing in the role. So I log on to my interview….and the manager never showed up. After rescheduling I did eventually meet with the manager who acted like I was inconveniencing him the whole time and also never fully explained how the position would work. During that interview I also had to share my screen and do another assessment and the typing test. They also several times throughout the process wanted me to act like I was super passionate about the job and pretend I had been so excited to apply when they were the ones who contacted me about the job. They never once mentioned salary.

3 step they made it seem passing the assessment was a guaranteed job but even after passing with flying colors the hiring manager was rude and denied me after giving one hell of a interview
