Entretien
Initially referred to by an ex-colleague who had moved to Tesla a couple of years ago.
First contact was thorugh email asking if I would be interested in a position at Tesla.
Performed a couple of phone interviews which were equally spit between describing the role and asking questions on my background etc.
They had a recruitment drive in my local city in which I was also invited to, which consisted of 3x 45minute interviews which different managers that I would be interfacing with. The only stange part was that I was not the only one being interviewed in the room at the same time.
After this I had to write two short essays: The first was about the decisions I had made in my career and why. and the other was describing why I would be an exceptional candidate for Tesla.
Then there was one final interview with the VP of vehicle engineering

Question 1
Generally the questions asked were really to test your fundamental knowledge as well as try and understand your thought process. There were typical name your strengths and weaknesses but also the question what makes you an exceptional candiate for Tesla popped up more than once.
