My interview process was kind of all over the place, which I later realized was a function of the team I joined, but it was sort of off-putting during the process.
Interview process involved three rounds. First a resume/person experience interview with one of the Sr. Mech. Design Engineers, next was a technical interview with another Mech. Design Engineer, and final was a very quick call with the Manager of the group.
I say the process was all over the place because in the first round, our phone call was cut 30min short by a conference room schedule issue. Worked with my recruiter to arrange for a time to finish the call, gave my availability, didn't hear anything back, then got a call from my interviewer (mostly unexpected). We had a good call, but the next day I got an email from my recruiter about when to reschedule (lack of communication btw team and HR). Second round, my interviewer forgot to call. Reschedule for the next day. Same thing happens. Finally on the third try we had our call. Most calls were at least ten minutes late. Third round no timing issues, and that call was fairly low-key (I think they had already made their decision, and being interviewed by the manager was more of a formality).
Overall, the calls themselves were good, it was a nice mix of resume questions, personal experience questions, and technical questions, and talking directly with engineers allowed me to ask a lot of questions about the work, the team, etc, so I was able to learn a lot about the company.
