First was a phone interview with HR - went smooth and was typical, what do you know about us and what was your experience in your last job (a competitor)? Only "hiccup" here is they asked what I was making at the prior job and when I gave the number they mentioned that they were looking to pay 5-10K less for this position but there may be "wiggle room" to get me to around what I was making. Onto phone conversation with the Hiring Manager, all went well, followed up with some additional questions and got an answer. Was told he hoped to have the hiring decision by the end of the next week. That week passed, I emailed on Tuesday and got a response back shortly after that they had offered it to someone else on Monday.
