The people and culture seem ok. It's a pity that their recruiting process is not the most rigorous and respectful of the candidate. In particular:
- The CFO asked me how much I was earning at my previous job (which, needless to say, is an illegal question in New York).
- HR, after asking for my references and scheduling an appointment with them for a phone call, never called them. This was pretty embarrassing for me since one of my references reached out to me to let me know that the company's HR had ghosted them, and I was in the awkward position to have to apologize with my reference for TransPerfect's shortcoming.
