After applying for the position via LinkedIn that was clearly advertised as “remote”, I was contacted shortly after by the dedicated UX recruiter. During the conversation he asked me if I was willing to relocate to which I responded “no” and that the position was categorized as remote on LinkedIn. He then fumbled around presumably actually double-checking his work and surprisingly responded “oh yes, it is. That’s not right”. He then went on to mansplain information about the company and wasting my time before finally saying that he could see if the hiring manager would consider this actually being remote. We agreed that I would send him further information to help the hiring manager make a decision before moving forward further and he would get back to me regarding the decision. I promptly sent him an email with said information and as of over a month later have heard zilch from him. Completely ghosted. Clearly this company hasn’t figured out candidate experience, let alone common courtesy. Perhaps a harbinger of what’s it’s like to actually work there.
