Screen call with a Vanguard recruiter - followed by 2 zoom interviews with two directors from the investment stewardship group. Despite being assured I would hear back either way within two weeks, I was ghosted. Followed up with the recruiter 3 weeks later and was told they were leaning towards an internal hire (very common at Vanguard). Not too surprising in this climate, but still disappointing from a company with a reputation like Vanguard. Everything had been very professional up until that point. No sour grapes here, it's just a frustrating (and regular) part of the job search process - I make a point of finishing each call by asking for notification (good news or bad news) since it makes the job search more efficient. It takes very little effort to follow through on that request.
