Last week, female members of #TeamBIC in France had the opportunity to meet the incredible participants of the empowerment program by Rêv'Elles, a partner NGO of the #BICCorporateFoundation. It was inspiring listening to the young girls talk about their values and ambitions for the future and how the program supported by the #BIC Corporate Foundation has changed their views on life for the better. With the #BIC Corporate Foundation’s focus shift towards creativity, we have connected with Enactus UK students to discuss how creativity is involved in every aspect of what we do! As part of the session, we hosted a Q&A with our business leaders to demonstrate the power of creativity in the professional world, to inspire and support the Enactus students’ personal & professional development. During the session we also launched the BIC Corporate Foundation partner competition for Enactus UK students to receive mentoring and grant funding to develop projects which harness the power of creativity to benefit their local communities. It was wonderful to be a part of the Middle East edition of the Break the Ceiling Touch the Sky® event hosted by House of Rose in Dubai this week. The focus of the event was on successful leadership strategies for growth, #Diversity & Inclusion initiatives at companies in the Middle East, and the leaders who are championing these changes. Thank you to the members of #TeamBIC who participated in the event and served as panelists, and to House of Rose for continuing to create opportunities to discuss gender equality in the workplace.
#BIC and its team members are part of the global effort to improve learning conditions for students worldwide, which is why BIC Italy has once again partnered with Terre des Hommes Italia. The non-profit organization aims to protect students from violence and abuse and promotes their right to a healthy, quality education. This year, as a part of our ongoing partnership, BIC has contributed to the #IoGiocoAllaPari initiative, a training course focused on gender equality for both young girls and boys in Italian secondary schools. The goal of the project is to teach students their rights, how to gain certain skills, ways to increase self-esteem, and entrepreneurship. To promote awareness of the initiative, BIC is asking students to share their stories and experiences on the topic of gender equality for the chance to be selected for an exclusive seminar.
