This International Nurses Day, we honor the extraordinary dedication of nurses around the world. At GE HealthCare, we see their courage, compassion, and resilience woven into every patient's journey. To capture just how deeply profound the nursing experience is, artist Tom Okamura created “Canvases of Care” - a series of portraits painted with thousands of brushstrokes. Each stroke represents an hour of tireless service, intentionally left unfinished to symbolize the continuous and ever-evolving commitment of nurses. With nearly five million nurses in the United States and 27 million globally, their impact extends far beyond the visible. At GE HealthCare, we are proud to support these healthcare heroes every day - witnessing their technical expertise in operating advanced medical technologies, their moments of empathy, and unwavering commitment to improving lives. 🔗 Learn more about the Canvases of Care on our website.

Earlier this year, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Annual Convention, one of the largest career and networking events for Black engineers. With 18,000+ attendees, the convention was a powerful space to connect with top talent in engineering, science, and technology from across the U.S. We hosted 50 coffee chats, conducted 7 interviews, and extended 10 job offers to truly exceptional individuals. We also invited attendees to a networking event with current GE HealthCare colleagues, who shared their engineering journeys, personal ties to NSBE, and thriving careers with us. Seeing these meaningful connections take shape reinforced the inclusive and supportive culture we’re proud to foster. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their stories and aspirations for the future. Another year of connecting with talented engineers at NSBE has reaffirmed our broader mission: to advance healthcare technology while investing in the next generation of innovators. Here’s to all of you who inspire the future! 🔗 Learn more about our career opportunities on our website.

This World Health Day, we’re celebrating those making a meaningful impact on healthcare and contributing to a better world. At GE HealthCare, we’re committed to driving change. As part of that mission, the GE HealthCare Foundation, an independent charitable organisation, recently marked its first anniversary. Building on our legacy in maternal and infant healthcare, the Foundation is focused on expanding access to care for mothers and babies around the world. With 80% of pregnancy-related deaths in the U.S. preventable, we’re funding nonprofits to advance research, training, and community-led solutions. By addressing maternal healthcare inequities, we aim to reduce maternal mortality and improve outcomes for families. So far, we’ve trained over 2,620 healthcare professionals across 70 healthcare facilities in 5 countries and reached over 4 million people with vital maternal health information. The GE HealthCare Foundation envisions a world where healthcare has no limits, and we’re committed to making that vision a reality. 🔗 Learn more about the GE HealthCare Foundation on our website.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the remarkable women at GE HealthCare helping to drive meaningful change. From our Girls Program and STEM camps to our Women’s Network, we’re dedicated to ensuring every woman shines, no matter where she is in her journey. As a testament to this commitment, we’re honored to spotlight Kate Hall, one of our software engineers, whose dedication and expertise is helping to enhance the quality and accessibility of care. Inspired by her own positive healthcare experiences as a child, Kate joined GE HealthCare as a summer intern - an opportunity that ignited her passion for the field and led her to the Edison Engineering Development Program. Today, she plays a vital role in developing innovative solutions such as Portrait Mobile, a system which assists patients in recovery and empowers physicians to enhance patient care. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we remain committed to empowering women like Kate, fostering innovation, and supporting the next generation of female leaders transforming patient care. 🔗 Learn more about our initiatives for women and girls on our website.

Heart disease affects millions of people each year, yet its impact is often underestimated, particularly among women. To raise awareness this American Heart Health Month, we’re spotlighting two incredible women whose journeys highlight the importance of awareness, advanced technology, and compassionate care when it comes to heart health. Nicole’s story: At just 23, Nicole Grehn survived a sudden cardiac arrest, coding 78 times before doctors saved her life using innovative monitoring tools and advanced care. Despite losing both legs to septic shock, Nicole’s resilience pushed her to pursue a career in nursing. Now, she works in the very hospital that saved her, helping others navigate their own health journeys. Sarah’s story: At 29, civil rights attorney Sarah Watson had a heart attack just weeks before her wedding. Thanks to diagnostic tools like echocardiograms and expert care, she recovered in time to walk down the aisle. Today, Sarah is a heart health advocate, encouraging women, especially young women of color, to trust their instincts and seek care. Advanced cardiac ultrasound and software innovations play a critical role in diagnosing and managing heart conditions, enabling clinicians to deliver precise, life-saving, compassionate care. This Heart Health Month, let’s raise awareness and remind everyone that heart disease doesn’t discriminate. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait to get checked. 🔗 Learn about more stories like these on our website.
