(even a spot of teamwork to carry a colleague back who damaged ankle ligaments en-route before going on to complete the 5k circuit!)
Today thousands of Canadians are wearing jerseys or green and gold colours to honour the victims of last week's deadly bus crash in Saskatchewan, involving the Humboldt Broncos hockey team. The initiative #jerseysforhumboldt was first proposed on Facebook by a group of hockey parents in British Columbia as a way to honour the Saskatchewan junior hockey team. On April 6, the Humboldt Broncos were headed for a playoff game when their bus collided with a semi-truck at a remote intersection near Tisdale, Sask. Sixteen passengers have died and 13 others were injured. At our Scor Canada office, this idea was initiated to participate in #jerseysforhumboldt SCOR contributed $1,000 to the fundraising which reached more than $9M within 5 days (target wsa $4M) This Jersey Day becomes even more important as tomorrow the insurance industry participates in an annual hockey tournament and SCOR team will be defending its Champion title
