Our manufacturing site in Bangalore, India, has taken a significant step toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions on-site. In a two-step process, the team successfully transitioned to 100% renewable power supply: Since 2022, approximately 1,500 solar panels have generated around 50% of the site's electricity consumption. The remaining electricity needs are now met by purchasing emission-free power from renewable sources. As a result of these efforts, a total of 70% of the site's overall energy consumption now comes from renewable sources, supporting the company's climate target of eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from purchased electricity, steam, heat, and cooling by 2030.
Sartorius maintains high profitability despite the expected temporary declines in the first half of 2023 After pandemic-related business and inventory buildup by customers had triggered extraordinary growth in previous years, the life science group Sartorius experienced temporary soft demand in both divisions throughout first half of 2023, as expected. Accordingly, the company recorded a decline in sales revenue in the first six months of the year and a lower but still relatively high profitability. Company management confirmed the full-year sales revenue and profitability outlook, which was adapted in mid-June.

Alexandra Gatzemeyer joins Executive Board of Sartorius to lead the Lab Products & Services division At today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board of Sartorius AG appointed Alexandra Gatzemeyer, Ph.D., as Member of the Executive Board, effective May 1, 2023. From June 16, 2023, Alexandra Gatzemeyer will succeed Gerry Mackay, Board Member and Head of the Lab Products & Services division, who will hand over duties in the course of May and June to ensure a smooth transition at the helm of this division. After stepping down as Executive Board member as of June 16, 2023, Gerry Mackay will continue to support Sartorius in various cross-divisional tasks and initiatives. Sartorius is providing assistance of €250,000 to help the victims of the devastating earthquake in Türkiye and Syria. The funds are donated to Sartorius’ long-standing partner, the medical-aid organization action medeor e.V.. Together with its local partners action medeor has been providing immediate support and is about to start shipments of medical supplies shortly. We wish them much success in their important work.
Sartorius with clear double-digit growth in fiscal 2022 Following extraordinary growth in 2020 and 2021, the life science group Sartorius again outperformed the market in fiscal 2022, achieving its targets for sales revenue and profitability. Both divisions contributed to this development and, according to preliminary figures, recorded double-digit percentage growth in sales revenue and earnings year-over-year.
