      Warning: This is only for non-IT srudents. I am writing my experience along with tips in bracket for your benefit. So finally time has come for the first interview. The first round in the process is technical round. Since I was mechanical guy I prepared only C programing and one of my core subject. The interview was based on the projects and technical skills provided on resume. So what we write on resume is really important. The questions were 1- Tell me about yourself.( Focus on your technical skills here, make sure you mention your level of proficiency in the area. E.g. If you are not confident in writing lengthy programs in C say 'I have basics in C but lot of interest to learn programing in future'.) 2- Questions on project would be like what is it a out, team size and my role.( Try to speak how your project would change world if if it doesn't have any sense and it would be really better if can somehow relate it IT like how it can be made better using software.) 3- Your favourite subject and a couple questions on it. ( Here try to speak as much as possible and explain the things from basics, as they might even don't have any idea about what they are asking. Try to speak at least for 2-3 min and if possible use paper to explain and give examples. This is really good time to show your communicatio skills.) 4- How confident are you in doing in IT? ( Try express your interest and mention an incident in past which motivated you or an incident where you used computers to overcome a problem). Important: It is absolutely necessary to prepare the resume without any false information. You can expect a lot of questions on your project, your favourite subject and any other specific technical skill you mentioned, so be thorough and find ways to quickly come out of the topic otherwise you might land in trouble like if you are being drilled on C try to connect the answer with your core subject or project or any other topic you are comfortable with. Always have smile and be honest. MR/HR It was conducted simultaneously, one for each in the panel. So, how to prepare for this round? Step 1- Take deep breath before entering. Step 2- Have a smile on your face Step 3- Try to repeat step 2. That's it you are good. Okay, my point was that always be confident and smiling as it makes a lot of difference. Few questions regularly asked are 1- Why it for non it-guy? ( Be prepared to answer it thoroughly and expect this question to be asked many times in different ways and each time you be more confident than your previous answer. Be really serious about this question.And really make sure why IT is for you. And as always try to relate with your experience.) 2- What do you know about IT? 3- How would you compete with other students who are from IT? 4- If you get a core job will leave this? ( See I told you lot of ways of asking same question and always be consistent in your answer). 5- Other regular questions like bond, nighg shifts and relocate etc. ( You know it, right?) If given chance to ask questions show your interest by asking questions like how would be training and what programming languages you should focus on beford joining). Tip: If any of the interviewer is really pushing hard and you notice other guy is little cool than try engage him by answering the question looking at him. Eventually he will take over and you are safe. This is the most important lesson I learnt. So all the best and be cool. Keep smiling. Remember the campus placement is not the end of your life so never be depressed if you are not selected.

      Interview was nice but it was much technical heavy and the interviewer had asked both the technical and HR related questions and also some general knowledge and current affairs questions.

      After assessment, Interview is Initial screening only, nothing technical. Consists of common questions so you should practice. I think most candidates get the job. Overall a good experience and would recommend to others.
